Preferences
Preferences cover the personal settings that shape your own experience of Closot. They apply to you rather than to the whole workspace, so changing them doesn't affect what your teammates see.
Open Settings → Preferences.
Appearance
Choose how Closot looks on this device:
| Option | Behavior |
|---|---|
| System | Follows your operating system's light or dark setting and switches automatically |
| Light | Always uses the light theme |
| Dark | Always uses the dark theme |
Appearance is set per device, so you can run dark on a laptop at night and light on a desktop during the day.
Language
Sets the language used throughout the Closot interface — menus, buttons, and settings labels. Your own content is never translated; only the surrounding interface changes.
For the full list of supported languages and details on right-to-left text handling, see Change Your Language.
Timezone
Shows the timezone Closot uses for you. This determines how dates and times are displayed across the app — due dates on database items, timestamps in version history, and events on Home.
If your timezone looks wrong, dates that seemed correct when entered may appear shifted by a few hours, so it's worth confirming after travelling or relocating.
