Template Gallery Guidelines & Terms
These are the terms and guidelines that govern use of the Closot Template Gallery.
The Closot Template Gallery (the "Closot Gallery") is a place for creators to share their work with other Closot users. This work may include templates, creator profiles, or any other type of content that Closot may authorize in the future ("Your Work"). "End Users" refers to any users of Your Work — individuals or organizations that are mutual customers of you and Closot. Use of the Closot Gallery and your provision of Your Work to End Users through it is subject to Closot's Master Subscription Agreement, Personal Use Terms of Service (as applicable), Privacy Policy, and Content and Use Policy. By using the Closot Gallery, you agree to abide by those terms and these Closot Gallery Terms of Use ("Gallery Terms"). Defined terms used below have the meaning given herein or in the agreements referenced above.
Intellectual Property Rights and Licenses
As a template creator, you retain ownership of any content you include in your templates. Closot retains full ownership of the platform and its features. End Users who use your templates retain ownership of their own content processed within them.
You acknowledge that Closot may develop features or products that compete with Your Work. Nothing in these terms restricts Closot's right to develop, procure, or market such products, nor does it entitle you to any compensation in connection with Your Work (other than payment terms that apply to paid templates).
Do not publish anything to the Closot Gallery that you don't have the rights to post. This includes reproducing or copying functionality from other templates without authorization. By making Your Work available, you represent and warrant that you hold all necessary rights to create and distribute it.
By listing Your Work in the Closot Gallery, you grant Closot a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- (a) Reproduce, display, and use Your Work for administrative and promotional purposes in connection with operating and improving the Gallery
- (b) Distribute Your Work to End Users through the Gallery
- (c) Conduct security and privacy reviews of Your Work
- (d) Use the names, trademarks, logos, and domain names associated with Your Work for marketing and promotional communications related to the Gallery — for example, referencing your template in a blog post or on the Gallery homepage
End Users who add Your Work to their workspace receive a non-exclusive license to access and use it for as long as they maintain an active Closot subscription or as otherwise agreed between you and them. Reposting content purchased from other creators — in whole or in part — is strictly prohibited.
Inappropriate Content
Closot is committed to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive community. Closot has full discretion to decline to publish any content that is not appropriate for the Gallery.
The following types of content are not permitted:
- Pornography or sexually explicit or obscene material
- Depictions of minors in a sexual manner
- Hate speech or highly offensive language
- Harassment or threats
- Graphic violence
- Illegal activities or goods, or promotion of illegal activities or goods
- Self-harm or promotion of self-harm
- Promotion of terrorism or violent extremism
- Unauthorized third-party intellectual property
- Content that enables risky or illegal use cases
Listing Standards
The following standards apply to all content published in the Closot Gallery. Work that doesn't meet these standards may be rejected or removed.
-
Quality and Design — Your Work should be well-designed, visually polished, and genuinely useful. It should be free of errors and organized thoughtfully.
-
Originality — Your Work must be original, or use content you have the rights to use. It should offer something meaningfully different from what already exists in the Gallery.
-
User Experience — Your Work should be straightforward to use, with clear guidance — callouts, placeholder content, or instructional notes — so users can get started quickly. Templates should be submitted as standalone pages, not as database subpages, to ensure they function correctly.
-
Privacy and Security — Your Work must respect user privacy and data security. If it collects personal information, it must clearly explain how that data will be used and comply with applicable data protection laws.
-
Compliance and Legality — Your Work must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including copyright and trademark rules. It may not promote illegal activities or contain objectionable content. Names and imagery must follow Closot's Brand Guidelines and Content Policy.
-
Categorization — Your Work must be accurately categorized so users can find it. Provide a clear, concise description and relevant tags.
-
Spam Free — Do not submit multiple versions of the same template, flood the Gallery with low-quality or repetitive content, or include advertisements or spam links within Your Work.
-
Current — Submissions should reflect the latest Closot features and best practices.
-
Accurate — Descriptions, images, and any preview content must accurately represent what's in Your Work. Pricing must be clearly stated in the currency in which it is sold.
Customer Contact Information
If an End User shares their email address with you or contacts you directly, you agree not to sell or share that address with third parties. You must engage with them in line with your documented privacy policy, applicable law, and their consent. You must provide a mechanism for End Users to unsubscribe from any marketing communications. If Closot receives reports that you are spamming or making unwanted contact with users, Closot may suspend or remove you from the Gallery.
Privacy
Unless you have appropriate consent, Your Work and your creator profile must not contain personal information or sensitive data, including:
- Phone numbers
- Private email addresses
- Physical addresses
- Credit card, bank account, or social security information
- Passwords
Gallery Listing
Closot has sole discretion over whether to list or remove Your Work from the Gallery, and to discontinue the Gallery entirely. Closot reserves the right to not list, revoke, suspend, or remove Your Work and your access to the Gallery for any reason or no reason at all. Closot may publish usage metrics related to Your Work on the Gallery. Closot reserves the right to charge fees for use of the Gallery, with advance notice provided before any fees are introduced.
Support
You are solely responsible for providing support and technical assistance for Your Work to End Users. Closot has no obligation to support End Users of Your Work, and you must not represent otherwise. You agree to make commercially reasonable efforts to support End Users.
Security and Privacy Review
Closot, or an authorized third party it selects, may conduct security or privacy reviews of Your Work and its supporting infrastructure to ensure compliance with these Gallery Terms and Closot's security and privacy policies. Reviews may include information requests, documentation reviews, interviews, technical testing, code reviews, network testing, and vulnerability assessments. Closot may also request access to Your Work's source code for the purpose of security or privacy testing.
You agree to cooperate promptly and reasonably with any such reviews. If Closot plans to conduct a new or additional scan beyond the standard review, it will give you at least 15 days' prior notice. You may opt out of such a scan by notifying Closot and accepting removal from the Gallery. Reviews may happen before or after Your Work is listed.
No Closot Warranty
THE CLOSOT GALLERY IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AT YOUR OWN RISK, WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF ANY KIND. CLOSOT DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTIES OF TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. CLOSOT MAKES NO WARRANTY AS TO THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE CLOSOT GALLERY.

Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT WILL CLOSOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, DATA, BUSINESS, OR PROFITS) OR FOR THE COST OF SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS OR SERVICES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE GALLERY TERMS OR THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE CLOSOT GALLERY, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT CLOSOT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGE. CLOSOT'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FROM ALL CAUSES OF ACTION AND UNDER ALL THEORIES OF LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500). THESE LIMITATIONS SURVIVE AND APPLY EVEN IF ANY LIMITED REMEDY IS FOUND TO HAVE FAILED OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold Closot harmless from and against any liabilities, losses, damages, fines, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees), arising out of or connected to: (i) your access to and use of the Closot platform, API, or Gallery; (ii) breach or violation of these Gallery Terms or applicable laws and regulations; and (iii) any third-party claim related to Your Work.
Confidentiality
Closot and you may share confidential information with each other. The receiving party may use the disclosing party's confidential information only to exercise its rights and perform its obligations under these Gallery Terms, and must use a reasonable degree of care to protect it. Confidential information may only be shared with employees, agents, or contractors who need to know it and who are bound by at least equally restrictive terms.
Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that: (a) was already known to the receiving party without restriction before receipt; (b) is publicly available through no fault of the receiving party; (c) is rightfully received from a third party without a confidentiality obligation; or (d) is independently developed without access to the confidential information.
A party may disclose confidential information if compelled to do so by law, provided reasonable prior notice is given to the other party unless a court orders otherwise. Upon written request, the receiving party will promptly return or certify destruction of all confidential information.
Term and Termination
Term
These Gallery Terms take effect on the date you accept them and remain in effect as long as any End User can access Your Work, or until terminated by Closot.
Termination and Suspension
Closot may, at its sole discretion, remove or suspend Your Work, terminate your access to the Gallery, and/or terminate these Gallery Terms at any time without notice or liability to you. You may stop making your templates available in the Gallery at any time through the designated process.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination of these Gallery Terms or removal of Your Work from the Gallery, Closot may retain copies of your templates and data for record-keeping. Closot may, at its discretion, allow End Users to continue accessing content they've previously added or purchased from you.
Post-Termination Obligations
To End Users
Termination of these Gallery Terms does not affect your obligations to your End Users under any agreements between you and them. You agree to follow a commercially reasonable wind-down process to protect the End User experience — which may include notifying End Users that Your Work will no longer be available.
To Closot
Any terms that by their nature should survive termination of these Gallery Terms will do so.
Closot Brand Guidelines
Conducting a security review does not constitute Closot certifying, warranting, or endorsing Your Work. You represent and warrant that: (i) you will not make any statements that imply Closot's endorsement, certification, affiliation, or partnership; and (ii) you will comply with Closot's Brand Guidelines and Trademark Guidelines. Failure to do so may result in termination of these Gallery Terms and other actions by Closot.
Publicity
Closot may use your name, trademark, trade name, or logo for marketing or promotional purposes. Any goodwill that accrues to your marks from Closot's use will inure exclusively to you.
Governing Law and Venue
These Gallery Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. All disputes related to these Gallery Terms will be heard exclusively in San Francisco County, California, USA.
Modifications
Closot reserves the right to modify these Gallery Terms at any time. Continued use of the Gallery after revisions become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Gallery.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content that violates these Gallery Terms, please report it to the Closot support team.
