Gallery View
Gallery view displays your database items as a grid of visual cards, making it the natural choice for databases with strong visual components. Use it for mood boards, team directories, recipe collections, product catalogs, or any dataset where seeing an image at a glance communicates more than reading a title.
Create a Gallery View
New Full-Page Gallery Database
- Create a new page in your workspace
- Under "Get started with," click
•••→ Gallery
Inline Gallery
Type /Gallery view on any page and press Enter.
Add Gallery View to an Existing Database
- Click
+next to your current view name - Select Gallery from the view type dropdown
Card Preview Settings
Control what image appears on each gallery card:
Settings → Layout → Card preview → choose from:
- Page cover — shows the cover banner image set on the page
- Page content — shows a preview of the first content block inside the page
- Files & media properties — shows the image from a specific Files or media property in the database
Fit image — toggle this on to make the image fill the entire card frame, or off to display the image proportionally within the frame. Use Reposition to adjust image placement within the card.
Rearrange Cards
Click and hold any card, then drag it in any direction to reorder it within the gallery.
Card Size
Settings → Layout → Card size → select your preferred size
Show and Hide Properties
- Settings → Property visibility
- Click 👁️ to toggle individual properties on or off
- Use
⋮⋮to drag them into the order you want
Hide the name property to create a clean, image-only display — ideal for mood boards and photo collections where the visuals speak for themselves.
