Enterprise Search
Enterprise Search is the fastest way to find what you need across everything you've built in Closot and the tools connected to it. Ask a question in plain language and get a direct answer — with source citations so you always know where the information came from.
Where to Find It
Open the Home tab in your Closot sidebar and type your question directly into the search window. Closot AI will search across your workspace and connected apps to generate a response.
Specifying Context
By default, Enterprise Search casts a wide net — your workspace, connected apps, and the web are all fair game. You can focus the search by:
- Clicking Add context to target specific pages or individuals
- Using
@-mentionsto call out particular pages, workareas, or people - Pointing it at a specific database, including its views, relations, and properties
This is useful when you know the answer lives in a particular project space or you want results scoped to a specific team's work.
Connecting Third-Party Apps
Set up Closot AI Connectors in Settings → Closot AI → AI Connectors to extend Enterprise Search beyond your Closot workspace. Once connected, Closot AI can pull answers from:
- Slack — Search across channels, threads, and direct messages
- GitHub — Search repositories, issues, pull requests, and code discussions
The more sources you connect, the more complete your answers will be. If a question touches both your Closot workspace and an active GitHub repo, Enterprise Search will draw from both and cite each source individually.
Controlling What Gets Searched
Enterprise Search gives you granular control over scope:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Web search on (default) | Includes publicly available web results alongside workspace and app data |
| Toggle off web search | Limits results to your workspace and connected apps only |
| Toggle off Apps and integrations | Limits results to your Closot workspace only |
| Specify a page or workarea | Restricts the search to a specific section of your workspace |
These toggles appear directly in the search interface — no need to go to settings each time.
Choosing an AI Model
Enterprise Search lets you select which AI model powers your responses. Use the Auto selector in the search interface to switch between available models including options from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
The model you select may influence whether the system draws from your workspace and connected apps or focuses on web-based knowledge. If answers seem less contextual than expected, check that the selected model supports workspace search.
