Create & Edit Images with Closot AI

Closot AI can generate images from scratch or transform existing ones — useful for creating process diagrams, system flowcharts, visual project summaries, and any kind of visual note you want to iterate on over time.

Image generation is currently in beta and subject to the beta terms of your agreement.

Usage limits per user (while in beta):

  • 10 image generations or edits per 24-hour period
  • 30 image generations or edits per 30-day period

Limits reset on a rolling basis. If you receive an error, the relevant window hasn't reset yet — wait and try again.

Where You Can Create or Edit Images​

There are three ways to work with images using Closot AI:

  1. Generate a new image directly inside an image block on any page
  2. Edit an existing image using the AI edit option on a hover
  3. Use Closot AI chat to create or modify images, with the chat automatically drawing on context from the page you're currently viewing

Create an Image in an Image Block​

Use this method when you want to place a generated image directly into a page layout.

  1. Type /image on any page and press Enter to insert an image block.
  2. Inside the image block, select the Closot AI option.
  3. Describe what you want to generate — be specific about the subject, style, and format. You can also select a visual style from the available presets to guide the result.
  4. Click Generate. Review the output, then refine your prompt and regenerate until the result matches what you had in mind.
tip

The more descriptive your prompt, the better the result. Instead of "a diagram," try "a horizontal flowchart showing a four-step content approval process with decision points."

Edit an Existing Image with AI​

Use this method when you already have an image on a page and want to modify it — adjusting the style, background, composition, or level of polish.

  1. Hover over the image you want to edit.
  2. Select the Edit with AI option that appears.
  3. Describe the change you want to make. Some examples:
    • "Replace the background with a dark industrial setting."
    • "Simplify this into a clean line diagram."
    • "Make this look more polished and professional."
    • "Convert this rough sketch into a formal flowchart."
  4. Keep refining with additional instructions until the result looks right.

Make or Edit Images in Closot AI Chat​

Open Closot AI chat from the sidebar and ask it to generate or modify an image. This approach works especially well when you want the image to reflect something specific from the page you're currently on — the chat automatically picks up context from your active page.

Example prompts to try:

  • "Create a flowchart for the onboarding process described on this page."
  • "Build a quick infographic summarizing the three main sections of this document."
  • "Convert the table on this page into a visual comparison chart."
  • "Turn this architecture description into a clean system diagram."
